My name is Denise Reeder. I am 45 years old and 5’ 4 ½”. I work at Farmers Insurance as an IT Specialist Tester.

When I went to my first class at Hyperion, I almost didn’t get out of the car. I only knew MAYBE two people, I was overweight, I had no confidence in my ability to do anything physical, but I also had to do something for ME. That first night, I was weighed in & pictures were taken. I’ve never weighed that much in my life without being pregnant. I went out to the mats & cried to myself (glad it was dark that night). That was the night that changed me. I’m a single mother of 4 great kids & I knew I needed to get healthy so they would still have their mom around. My Dad died at the age of 40 of a heart attack. I was 11 at the time & I know that I have a good chance of something like that happening to me. But I’m doing this thing called healthy eating & exercise to reduce my chances. I want to be a good example to my kids to take care of themselves, never quit and finish what they start. My journey started Jan 3, 2011. Yes, it’s been over 2 years & I haven’t met my goal yet, but this is MY year & I will reach my goal. I’ve lost 53 pounds and I only have 11 more pounds to go to reach my goal. This past year I’ve proven to myself that despite difficult things that happen in life, I can survive without turning to food for comfort. I get my aggressions out thru exercising. I’ve done two mud runs with my Hyperion Family & I have an upcoming 5K that I’m taking part in with my Hyperion Family and my kids are gonna do it too! I don’t think I could have come this far without my Hyperion Cult Family and of course, Eric!! Everyone at Hyperion is so supportive & Eric pushes me to do better and better every day. He’s so encouraging and positive that you just can’t help but follow his advice – he does know what he’s doing!
